Detailed Summary

Persons wishing to purchase a firearm online or in store may do so using the following procedures.

Once the online or in store order has been placed we will send you a Firearms Application Form containing your particulars, and the firearms particulars, you must bring this form to your local Garda station and apply for a Firearms Certificate for that particular firearm.

When the Firearms Certificate has been issued by An Garda Siochana (and Article 7 for Cat B Firearm i.e. Pistols) either the original certificate, a scanned image or a faxed copy must be sent to Cork Angling and Outdoor Shop, the original firearms certificate will be returned immediately on validation to the owner, we will obtain the necessary documents allowing us to ship the firearm to the person named on the Firearms Certificate via secure courier. Alternatively the certificate holder may on production of a certificate collect their firearm in our retail store in Cork.

In the case of a person being refused a certificate by An Garda Siochana we will refund any deposit or payment. A refund may not apply in the case of special order firearm or any cat B firearm ( Pistol or Revolver) which by definition may have been sought with special requirements and may not have generic re-sale value

It is always advisable to discuss your requirements with the local firearms appointed Garda or give us a call before you purchase or put a deposit on any firearm.

Special Note on Purchasing Catagory B Firearms (Pistols)

Please note the Dept of Justice will not grant import licenses for pistols unless the application is supported by a current firearms certificate and an Article 7 authority to acquire a Cat B firearm in a member EU State. The Article 7 is granted by your local Superintendents Office.
